Nearly $700K of cannabis reportedly seized from single vehicle




Two men are in custody following a vehicle stop in Northern Ireland that led to a significant cannabis bust.

Working with the National Crime Agency, officers stopped the two men and seized £375,000 ($647,651) worth of cannabis, reports the Belfast Telegraph .

The men, aged 38 and 41, are being held on suspicion of possession of Class B controlled drugs and possession of Class B controlled drugs with intent to supply.

In a statement, Police Service Northern Ireland (PSI) decective inspector Shaw suggested the men have links to organized crime.

“This search, seizure and arrest was conducted to target organized criminality and our ongoing commitment to address the criminality linked to drug importation, supply and use that often results in drug debts, drug addiction and drug related deaths within our communities,” he said.
